Flip That (stylized as Fl!p That) is the first summer special mini album by LOONA. It was released on June 20, 2022 with "Flip That" serving as the album's title track.
This is the group's first release after competing on Queendom 2.
This is the final release to feature member Chuu before her removal from the group on November 25, 2022.[1]
The physical album comes in four versions: A, B, C, and D.
Background[]
On June 3, LOONA released a trailer for Flip That, a summer special mini album to be released on June 20.[2]
"Playback" was first performed at the LOONAVERSE : From concert on February 12, 2022, and is the first song written by members to appear on an album.[3]
Composition[]
"Flip That" is described as a house based song. The song has an impressive chorus and an addictive melody. Through listening to the track, you will be able to feel LOONA's bright energy as the song keeps changing the rhythm and colorful composition. The lyrics talk about how the girls want to flip the world upside down.[3]
Commercial performance[]
On June 22, at 11:30 am, Flip That had reached Number 1 in 31 different regions on the iTunes Top Albums charts. With the title track, "Flip That", reaching Number 1 in 11 different regions on the iTunes Top Songs charts. "Flip That" also charted at Number 1 on Bugs's realtime chart in Korea.[4]
Hanteo Chart reported that Flip That sold 117,387 copies during its first week since release (June 20 to 26). Flip That is LOONA's first album to reach 100,000 album sales and it also broke their previous record for first week sales.[5]
