Park Xiyeon (박시연; formerly as Xiyeon) is a South Korean actress, singer-songwriter, and rapper under Saero Actors. She is a former member of the girl group PRISTIN.
Career[]
2016: Produce 101[]
In 2016, Siyeon participated in Mnet's survival television show, Produce 101, along with other five trainees from her agency, Pledis Entertainment. She was eliminated in episode 10 after ranking 25th place.[2]
2017–2019: PRISTIN[]
On 2017, Pledis announced Xiyeon as a member of PRISTIN, which debuted on March 21, 2017 with the mini album Hi! PRISTIN and its title track, "Wee Woo".
On May 24, 2019, it was announced by Pledis that PRISTIN was officially disbanding after almost two years without activity. It was also announced that 7 out of 10 members had not renewed their contracts with the agency, Xiyeon being one of them.[3]
2020–2023: Acting debut, new agencies[]
On May 25, 2020, she announced via Instagram she will be making her debut as an actress through the independent film Sillim Man and Woman.[4] On July 2, it was announced that she had signed with a new acting-focused agency called Sooyeongang Entertainment.[5]
On November 14, 2023, it was announced that she signed with Saero Actors.[6]
