BLACK6IX (블랙식스) was a six-member boy group formed by BLACK HOLE Entertainment. They debuted on April 7, 2017 with the release of their first single "Please". The meaning of their name is "six boys with infinite potential".
They officially disbanded on April 16, 2021.[1]
History[]
2017: Debut with "Please" and "Like a Flower"[]
On April 7, 2017, they debuted with their first digital single "Please".
On September 3, they made their first comeback with the second digital single "Like a Flower".
2018: "Alone" and Swamp of Despair[]
On February 3, 2018, they released their third digital single "Alone".
On October 30, they came back with their first mini album Swamp of Despair.
2019: The Blackpearl World Tour[]
On January 14, 2019, they announced that they would be holding The Blackpearl World Tour in Europe at three different countries. The first concert will be held on May 10 in Hungary, while the second one will be held at Bulgaria on May 11. The third concert will be held on May 12 at Romania.[2]
On August 8, they revealed that they would be holding a concert in Brazil on November 27.[3] Two days later, on August 10, they announced that they would be hosting another concert in Brazil on November 23 as a part of The Blackpearl World Tour.[4]
On August 26, it was revealed that BLACK6IX would be holding two concerts in two different cities in the Philippines as a part of The Blackpearl World Tour.[5] With the first one being on September 30 and the second one being on October 1.
2020–2021: Nice To Meet You and disbandment[]
On February 12, 2020, they released their second mini album Nice To Meet You.
On July 1, they released a trailer for their then upcoming ontact live.[6] Two days later, on July 3, they revealed that the concert would be called <The Live: The Blackhole> and will be occurring on July 26. The tickets then went on sale on July 10 at 3:00 PM KST.[7]
On July 29, they announced that they would be holding another online concert titled The Story of BLACK6IX Vol.1. The concert then took place on August 1, 2, 5, 8, and 9th.[8]
On April 16, 2021, their disbandment was announced.[1]
