Park Soo Ah (박수아), formerly known as Lizzy (리지), is a South Korean singer and actress under BK Ent. She is a member of the girl group After School and its sub-unit Orange Caramel and a former member of After School Blue.

She made her solo debut on January 23, 2015 with the digital single "Not an Easy Girl".

Career[]

2010–2018: After School[]

On March 18, 2010, Soo Ah, then known by her stage name Lizzy, was introduced as the newest member of After School.[1] She made her official debut as member on March 25, 2010 with the group's third single album "Bang!".

Lizzy made her debut as a member of After School's first sub unit, Orange Caramel, on June 17, 2010 with their first mini album.

On May 1, 2018, she announced her graduation from After School following the expiration of her contract with Pledis Entertainment.[2]

2018–present: Acting career[]

On May 10, 2018, Celltrion Entertainment announced that Lizzy had signed on with the agency.[3] On July 2, it was announced that Lizzy will be promoting as an actress under the new stage name Park Soo Ah.[4]

On August 19, 2021, Celltrion Entertainment announced their contract with Soo Ah has expired and would not be renewed.[5]

On October 24, 2022, BK Ent announced that Lizzy had signed on with the agency to resume her activities.[6]

Personal life[]

DUI incident[]

On May 18, 2021, Soo Ah hit a taxi while driving in the neighborhood of Cheongdam-dong in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. No injuries were reported. However it was reported her blood alcohol was at a level that would had her driver's license revoked. The following day, she was charged with DUI after being questioned by police.[7]

During the first hearing of her DUI case on September 27, the prosecution requested the Seoul Central District Court to sentence Soo Ah to one year in prison for driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.197%.[8]

On October 28, 2021, Soo Ah was fined 15 million won after the court took into account that she had reached an agreement with the taxi driver, that she was a first-time offender, and that she immediately admitted to her charges and reportedly gave away her car in order to not reoffend.[9]
