Eunsang (은상; also known by his full name) is a South Korean singer-songwriter, rapper and actor under Brand New Music. He is a member of the boy group YOUNITE and a former member of the project boy group X1.
He is also a member of the project group MARS under the name Dan (단).
He made his solo debut on August 31, 2020 with the single album "Beautiful Scar".
Career[]
2019–2020: Produce X 101, X1[]
In 2019, Eunsang participated in Mnet's boy group survival show Produce X 101 representing Brand New Music. He finished in the X place, thus becaming a member of X1.[1] The group officially debuted on August 27, 2019 with the mini album, 비상 : Quantum Leap.
However, on January 6, 2020, the agencies representing the members announced the group has disbanded due to not being able to reach a unanimous agreement following the Produce 101 vote manipulation controversy.[2]
2020: Solo debut with "Beautiful Scar"[]
On August 13, 2020, it was announced that he would be making his solo debut on August 31 with the single album "Beautiful Scar".[3]
2021: "Beautiful Sunshine", acting debut[]
On August 16, 2021, it was announced that he would be making his first comeback with his second single album "Beautiful Sunshine".[4]
On September 24, it was confirmed that Eunsang would be making his acting debut through the JTBC drama Idol: The Coup.[5] The first episode then aired on November 8 with the twelfth and final episode airing on December 14.
2022: Debut with YOUNITE[]
On January 7, Eunsang was introduced as a member of the male trainee group BRANDNEWZ through a cover of Audrey Nuna's "Damn Right".[6] On February 15, he was introduced as a member of the boy group YOUNITE.[7] They debuted on April 20, 2022 with the EP, Youni-Birth.
