Eunha (Korean: 은하; Japanese: ウナ) is a South Korean singer-songwriter under BPM Entertainment. She is a member of the girl group VIVIZ and a former member of GFRIEND and the project girl group Sunny Girls.

Career[]

2015: Debut with GFRIEND[]

She debuted as a member of GFRIEND on January 16, 2015 with the group's first mini album Season of Glass.

2021–present: Departure from Source Music, new agency and re-debut[]

On May 18, Source Music was announced that all members of GFRIEND, including Eunha, have decided to not renew their contracts with the agency. They officially disbanded on May 22 after the end of their exclusive six-year contract.

On October 6, she announced on her personal Instagram that she will be joining Big Planet Made with SinB and Umji.[2]. BPM Entertainment later confirmed that the three members have signed an exclusive contract with the agency and are planning to re-debut as a three-member group.[3][4] On October 8, it was revealed that the group name will be VIVIZ.[5] The group debuted on February 9, 2022 with the mini album Beam of Prism.[6]

On April 5, 2023, a teaser video was posted which revealed that Eunha and Xiumin will be releasing a collaboration single, "Our Spring : Who?", on April 9.[7]

On January 28, 2022, Big Planet Made released a statement saying that fellow member Umji had been diagnosed with COVID-19. At the time Eunha and fellow member SinB had tested negative, but Big Planet Made stated that they will continuously conduct PCR tests during the isolation period of Umji.[8] Two days later, Big Planet Made released another statement saying that Eunha had tested positive for COVID. She will be isolating and is only experiencing mild symptoms.[9]

  • Eunha means "Galaxy" in Korean.
  • She is a former Big Hit Entertainment trainee.
  • When she was 7 years old, she was diagnosed with langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH), which is essentially where too much white blood cells in the body form.
  • She and THE BOYZ's Jacob were born on the exact same day.
