EVNNE (Korean: 이븐; Japanese: イブン) is a seven-member project boy group under Jellyfish Entertainment. They made their debut on September 19, 2023 with the mini album Target: Me.
Similar to I.B.I, RAINZ and JBJ, the group consists of former Boys Planet contestants who did not make the top 9.
History[]
Pre-debut: Boys Planet[]
On December 11, 2021, Mnet announced that the male version of Girls Planet 999, titled Boys Planet, would be coming in 2022.[2] On June 25, 2022, Mnet officially confirmed they plan to air Boys Planet in the first half of 2023.[3] On November 28, 2022, Mnet had officially announced that Boys Planet would premiere in February 2023, with a total of 98 participants from all over the world. The first teaser was revealed during the 2022 MAMA Awards.[4]
On August 3, 2023, it was officially confirmed that seven trainees from Boys Planet would be debuting in a project boy group named BLIT, managed by Jellyfish Entertainment. The members include Rain Company artist and Ciipher member Keita, WAKEONE trainees Hanbin, Jeonghyeon, Junghyun and Jihoo, and Yue Hua Entertainment trainees Seungeon and Yunseo.[5]
On August 9. the group changed its name to EVNNE due to the potential misinterpretation of the original group name. They also opened SNS accounts the same day.[6]
2023: Debut with Target: Me[]
On August 16, it was announced that EVNNE would be making their debut on September 19.[7]
On August 23, a scheduler was released, revealing that the group would debut on September 19 with the mini album Target: Me.[8]
2024: Un: Seen, Ride or Die, "Keshiki"[]
On December 29, 2023, EVNNE announced that they would be releasing their second mini album, Un: Seen, on January 22, 2024.[9]
On May 8, EVNNE announced that they would be releasing their third mini album, Ride or Die, on June 17.[10]
On November 5, the group announced their first Japanese digital single "Keshiki", set for release on the same day.[11]
2025: Hot Mess, Love Anecdote(s), contract renewal, Seungeon and Yunseo's departure[]
On January 10, 2025, the group announced their fourth mini album Hot Mess, scheduled for release on February 10.[12]
On July 7, the group announced their fifth mini album Love Anecdote(s), scheduled for release on August 4.[13]
On November 9, Jellyfish Entertainment announced that several members of the group have agreed to sign a new contract and to be fully managed by the agency beginning in January 2026 to continue with their activities as EVNNE. Although, Jellyfish also stated that they cannot guarantee the future of the group with all of the members as they are still amidst discussions about the contracts.[14]
On December 8, Jellyfish Entertainment announced that the group will be restructured as a five-member group in early 2026 with Seungeon and Yunseo returning to YH Entertainment. In addition, it was also announced that the remaining members will be fully transferring to Jellyfish Entertainment and EVNNE will become an official group.[15][16]
