EJ (Korean: 의주; Japanese: ウィジュ) is a South Korean rapper and singer under HYBE Labels Japan. He is the leader of the boy group &TEAM.
He is also best known for participating in the reality survival shows I-LAND and &AUDITION - The Howling -.
Career[]
2020–2021: I-LAND and HYBE Labels Japan Global Debut Project[]
On June 2, 2020, EJ was introduced as a participant in the CJ ENM and Big Hit Entertainment's then upcoming survival show I-LAND.[3] On the first episode, he performed "Any Song" by Zico, along with Daniel, and was able to enter "I-LAND".[4] However, during the second episode, he was "eliminated" as he received 6 votes and placed in "Ground".[5] As half of the I-LANDER team had to be sent to "Ground" in the third episode, the producers chose 6 people, with EJ being one of them, from "Ground" to be sent to "I-LAND".[6] However, on the sixth episode, he was voted back to "Ground".[7] On the seventh episode, he was unfortunately eliminated from the show and was unable to participate in Part 2.[8]
On January 1, 2021, he was revealed as a member of the HYBE Labels Japan's Global Debut Project boy group.[9] The group, tentatively named &TEAM, will make their debut in 2022.[10]
2022: &AUDITION - The Howling -, &TEAM[]
On June 4, 2022, EJ was introduced as a participant in the HYBE Labels Japan's upcoming survival show &AUDITION - The Howling -.[11] In the final episode, which was aired on September 3, he was announced as one of the contestants who will be debuting in the winning group &TEAM.[12] They debuted on December 7, 2022 with the mini album First Howling : ME.

- He tried the MBTI test three times, his first MBTI was ISTJ,[13] but when he took it again, the personality changed to INFP-T,[14] then later changed to INTJ.[15]
- Prior to I-LAND, he trained for 1 year and 6 months.[13]
- He was a fencer.[4]
