Dream( )scape (stylized in all-caps) is the fifth mini album by NCT DREAM. It was released on March 25, 2024 with "Smoothie" serving as the album's title track.
The physical album comes in 11 versions: icantfeelanything, Smoothie, DREAMini, seven individual SMini versions and QR.
Background[]
Through SM Entertainment's 3Q23 earning release, it was revealed that NCT DREAM will be releasing a mini album in early 2024.[1] On February 7, 2024, it was reported that NCT DREAM will be having a comeback in March.[2] The next day, SM Entertainment confirmed the news.[3] The release date was later confirmed to be March 25.[4] On March 5, the schedule poster for Dream( )scape was unveiled.[5]
Promotions[]
On April 4, SM Entertainment announced that member Chenle will not be participating in this week's music shows following a minor ankle injury.[6]
Commercial performance[]
According to Hanteo Chart, Dream( )scape sold 1,329,701 copies on its first day of sales, breaking their previous record.[7]
Dream( )scape topped the daily album charts on Hanteo Chart, Circle Chart, and Yes24; Recochoku's daily album chart and AWA's realtime rising chart in Japan; and QQ Music's and KuGou Music's digital album sales charts in China. Meanwhile "Smoothie" reached #1 on Bugs and the Melon's Hot 100.[7]
Dream( )scape was ranked #76 on the 2024 Billboard Japan's Hot Album Year End chart.[8]
