Dimepiece (다임피스) was a girl group under REDDICE Entertainment. They debuted on August 10, 2016 with the digital single "GoBackJump".
The group presumably disbanded silently sometime in early 2017.
History[]
2015: Pre-debut[]
During their pre-debut days, Dimepiece had a six-episode web drama documenting the entire process leading up to the debut produced in 360 VR (virtual reality), with members Sally, Haeri, Siyoung, Gabin and Eunbi.[1] They also released the soundtrack from the web drama in the single album "Dimepiece's Basecamp OST" on December 17, 2015.
Prior to their debut, Siyoung, Gabin and Eunbi left the group and Siyu was recruited. In a news report, REDDICE revealed that Dimepiece's official debut is scheduled for the first half of 2016 with Haeri, Siyu and Sally.[2]
2016: Debut with "GoBackJump"[]
On August 10, 2016, Dimepiece made their official debut as a trio with the digital single "GoBackJump".[3]
Sometime after their debut, member Siyu departed from the girl group. This led to the addition of new members; identified members were Chaerim, Aekyo, Soojung, Yehwi and Leah. The exact number of members at a given time were unknown as the group lacked social media presence and new members were only seen at live busking events and during fansigns.
2017: Disbandment[]
Since early 2017, Dimepiece became inactive and was presumed to have disbanded without any official announcements. The last known lineup of Dimepiece consisted of Yehwi, Soojung, Haeri, and Leah.[4]
Aftermath[]
- Haeri and Soojung joined NW Studios and redebuted in ZZBae on June 15, 2017. They also became a member of NW Studios' project girl group Flossom but they disbanded pre-debut in 2018. ZZBae later disbanded in 2018 and they eventually departed from NW Studios.
