Denise (데니스) is a South Korean-American singer-songwriter. She is a former member of the girl group SECRET NUMBER.
She made her solo debut with the EP Me Before You on December 29, 2022.
Career[]
2015–2016: K-pop Star 5[]
Denise first appeared as a contestant on the competition show K-pop Star 5. During her time on the show, she was a member of the Mazinga unit.[1] The group was eliminated in episode 20 after ranking 3rd place.[2]
2016–2018: YG Entertainment[]
Following the conclusion of K-pop Star 5, Denise became a trainee at YG Entertainment in May 2016.[citation needed] After two years, she left the company sometime in 2018.
2020–2022: SECRET NUMBER[]
On January 3, 2020, Denise was revealed as the second member of Vine Entertainment's new girl group SECRET NUMBER.[3] The group made their debut on May 19, 2020 with the single "Who Dis?".
On September 30, 2021, Vine Entertainment announced that she would not be participating in their upcoming album promotions and future activities due to contract issues.[4]
On February 5, 2022, Denise announced on her Instagram that her contract with Vine Entertainment had concluded on February 1, 2022 and she had left the company and group.[5][6]
2022: Solo debut[]
On December 26, 2022, Denise announced that she will make her solo debut with the EP Me Before You on December 29.[7]
