Say What? We're Delight! Hello, we are Delight!
(Say What? We're Delight! 안녕하세요, 딜라이트입니다!)

—Delight

Delight (딜라잇) was a five-member girl group under Bros Media Entertainment. They originally debuted as four on April 2, 2013 with their first mini album Mega Yak.

The group presumably disbanded sometime in 2015, following an extended period of inactivity, the deletion of their Facebook page, and the rebranding of their Twitter account.

History[]

Pre-debut:[]

In December 2012, Bros Media Entertainment launched a YouTube channel introducing Delight as their upcoming girl group, releasing pre-debut content throughout the month.[1]

On March 21, 2013, a teaser introducing members Eunsae, Yeondu, Taehee and Kelly was released on YouTube.[2]

2013-2014: Debut with Mega Yak, member changes and School Bell's Ringing, more lineup changes and "Hate You!"[]

Delight officially debuted on April 2, 2013, as a hip-hop girl group with their first mini album, Mega Yak. The title track gained attention for featuring P.O from the boy group Block B.[3]

In July 2013, Kelly was absent during follow-up promotions and was quietly replaced by a new member.[4]

On October 16, they officially introduced new member SooA, who had been performing with the group since July, through comeback teasers and also marking a release with the new lineup for the 24th.[5]

On October 24, Delight released their second mini album, School Bell's Ringing.

After a brief hiatus, Delight resumed promotions in June 2014 with another lineup change. Member SooA was absent and was replaced by a new, unidentified member.[6]

In early July, the group’s social media accounts were updated to show a five-member lineup, though two members were not yet publicly identified.[citation needed] And later, on July 21, a comeback teaser was released, officially introducing the updated lineup: Eunsae, Yeondu, Taehee, and new members Sumin and Jaewon.[n 1][7]

The next day, July 22, they made their comeback with their third digital single, "Hate You!".

2015: Yeondu solo debut and disbandment[]

On February 6, 2015, teasers featuring Yeondu were released.[8] A few days later, on the 12th, Bros Media Entertainment revealed that she would be making her solo debut, while member Jaewon had been admitted to Dongduk Women’s University.[9] Eventually, Yeondu officially debuted as a soloist on February 23, 2015, with the mini album Be Your Girl.

After her solo promotions, the group and company fell silent, with their social media gradually disappearing. Delight presumably disbanded in 2015 following inactivity, Facebook deletion, and Twitter rebranding.

Aftermath:[]

Following the disbandment of Delight, all the members went their separate ways.

The circumstances of the other members are still currently unknown.
