Daydream (데이드림) was a three-member girl group under Great Company. They officially debuted on February 23, 2020 with the digital single "Numnum".
History[]
Pre-debut[]
The group was introduced in June 2019 and held their first stage event at Bucheon Techno Park on June 13.[1]
On September 8, 2019, they revealed a new member, Sawol (later known as Sorin).[2]
On December 3, they revealed a new member, Chae Ha.[3]
2020: Debut with "Numnum", line-up changes and disbandment[]
Daydream made their official debut on February 23, 2020, with the digital single "Numnum".
On April 1, Alim, Sorin and Chae Ha left the group due to conflicts with the company. Additionally, they revealed two new members, Ara and Maeum.[4]
On July 18, Sarang announced through Instagram that the group had disbanded.[5]
Aftermath[]
- Sarang was revealed as a member of the upcoming trot group Purple Ring on May 20, 2023. They have presumably disbanded as of July 2023.
- Chae Ha and Alim, under the stage names Xindy and Ye Hwa, became members of the pre-debut group ZEROSIX. However, Ye Hwa, along with 3 other members, departed from the group and presumably the agency sometime in 2022, leaving Xindy as the only member left. It is currently unknown if the group will be adding more members, or will disband.
- On May 30, Xindy made her solo debut with the single "Mermaid".
- Sorin and Ara joined Aftermoon Entertainment as trainees, and were potentially new members of We Girls. However, both members left after not being selected to join the group.
- Ara became a member of the dance team Babys sometime in late 2021. She would become a member of the group N-DAY, the group formed out of the dance team. However, she presumably left the group and Babys sometime later. She was revealed as a member of the dance team ZERO, as their leader, but the team had disbanded after a performance. The social media accounts were repurposed for the pre-debut girl group Ndear, in which she was revealed as a member of. Unfortunately, the group seemed to have disbanded due to inactivity. On May 16, 2023, she was revealed as a member of the upcoming girl group Berryz.
- Maeum became a member of Babys, but only performed as a guest member until the end of June. She was then revealed as a member of the dance team ZERO, but disbanded after one performance.
The circumstances of pre-debut member Yiseul are currently unknown.
