Dami (Korean: 다미; Japanese: ダミ) is a South Korean rapper and singer-songwriter. She is a member of the girl group Dreamcatcher and a former member of MINX.
She will make her solo debut on October 31, 2025, with the digital single "Chequered Flag".
Career[]
2014–2016: MINX[]
On September 18, 2014, she debuted as a member of MINX, with the group's first single "Why Did You Come To My Home?".
On November 29, 2016, Happyface Entertainment announced that MINX would re-debut under the name Dreamcatcher with the addition of two members.[1]
2017: Debut with Dreamcatcher, MIXNINE[]
Dreamcatcher officially debuted on January 13, 2017 with their first single album "Nightmare".
In October, Dami, alongside fellow members JiU, Siyeon, and Yoohyeon, became contestants on the survival show MIXNINE. However, on December 10, it was announced that all four members would be leaving the show.[2]
2025: Departure from Dreamcatcher Company, solo debut[]
On March 10, 2025, Dreamcatcher Company announced that members Handong, Dami, and Gahyun's exclusive contracts are set to expire on March 31 and all three elected to not renew. However, the company clarified that the group will keep promoting as seven.[3]
On October 26, Dami tesaed her solo debut scheduled on October 31[4] later revealed to be her first single, "Chequered Flag", featuring Yoohyeon.[5]
