Dajeong (다정) is a South Korean singer, rapper and model under Zes Entertainment. She is the maknae of the girl group CLEO, a former pre-debut member of the girl band LATENCY and the former leader of the girl group Hashtag and its sub-unit PURPLE.

She is also known for being a contestant on the survival show Produce 101.

Career[]

2016: Produce 101[]

In 2016, Dajeong was a contestant on the survival show Produce 101, where she represented Hello Music Entertainment. She was eliminated in episode 5, with her final rank being #62.

2017–2023: Hashtag, PURPLE[]

After being revealed as the first member of Hashtag on September 18, 2017, she officially debuted in the group on October 11, with the group's first mini album The Girl Next Door.

On September 18, 2018, she debuted in the project girl group PURPLE with the group's first single "Maemmaeya".

On March 21, 2023, it was announced that she, along with Aeji, had left Hashtag.[1] On that same day, Dajeong shared that their departures were solely decided upon by their agency and that they had no prior discussions until the announcement was made.[2]

On November 23, 2023, she appeared as one of the eight female cast members of the web entertainment show SuperGirls' Battle, a live-action adaptation of the mobile game Supergirls War, which was set to launch on December 6. In the program, she secured 4th place in the final individual ranking for the game.[3]

2024–2025: LATENCY, CLEO[]

On June 11, 2025, she is one of the members spotted during a practice for the band project (later known to be LATENCY) with former cignature members Jee won, Haeun and Semi and LOONA and Loossemble's HyunJin.[4] She dropped out of the project soon after due to unknown reasons.

On July 29, it was announced that Dajeong had joined the girl group CLEO under an exclusive contract with Zes Entertainment.[5]

On May 31, 2024, she opened her personal YouTube channel and was announced as cast member on the Korean Web Drama channel UnexpectedFilm.[6][7][8]
