DIVA (디바) was a three-member girl group under BM Music when they disbanded. They debuted on August 29, 1997, with the studio album Funky Diva.
History[]
1997: Debut with Funky Diva[]
On August 29, 1997, DIVA debuted with their first studio album, Funky Diva, and the lead single "Yeah". They also promoted a second single, "The Drama of December".
1998: Snappy Diva's Second Album[]
On April 20, 1998, DIVA released their second studio album, Snappy Diva's Second Album, and the lead single "Why Do You Call". They also promoted a second single, "Joy".
1999: Western debut with Dream, Lee Min Kyoung's addition, Millennium[]
On February 1, 1999, DIVA had their Western debut with the studio album Dream, and the lead single "I'll Get Your Love". Kim Jin left the group shortly after promotions ended.
On July 1, it was announced that a new member would be joining the group, Lee Min Kyoung.
On July 8, they released their third studio album, Millennium, and the lead single "Yo Yo". They also promoted a second single, "It's Like That When You Like Someone".
2000: Chae Ri Na's departure, Naughty Diva[]
Sometime in August 2000, Chae Ri Na left DIVA, making them a three-member group.
On November 8, they released their fourth studio album, Naughty Diva, and the lead single "Up & Down". They also promoted a second and third single, "In This Winter" and "Crazy", respectively. This was their first release after Chae Ri Na's departure.
2001: The Diva 5[]
On August 16, 2001, DIVA released their fifth studio album, The Diva 5, and the lead single "Perfect!". They also promoted a second single, "D.V.D (Let's Go Together)".
2002: Luxury Diva[]
On August 28, 2002, DIVA released their sixth studio album, Luxury Diva, and the lead single "Action". They also promoted a second single, "Lust In The Wind".
2003: Best World / Special Non-Stop[]
On June 20, 2003, DIVA released their first best album, Best World / Special Non-Stop.
2004: Renaissance[]
On January 8, 2004, DIVA released their seventh studio album, Renaissance, and the lead single "Hey Boy". They also promoted a second single, "Amoremio".
2005: Only Diva[]
On August 12, 2005, DIVA released their eighth and final studio album, Only Diva, and the lead single "Smile". They also promoted a second single, "My Style". This was their last release before disbandment.
2006: Disbandment[]
In 2006, DIVA unofficially disbanded as all members left the company.
