DDgirls (디디걸스) was a 12-member project girl group, consisting of AfreecaTV BJs, under Dandong Entertainment. They made their debut on September 27, 2023 with the digital single "Knock Knock".[n 1]
The group presumably disbanded in December of the same year.
History[]
2023: Survival show, debut with "Knock Knock" & disbandment[]
On August 14, 2023, BJ Taewoo and member Doa announced that they were hosting a survival show to form DDgirls, as well as posting the guide vocals and choreography for "Knock Knock".[1][2][n 2] The show would then be produced with a total of 6 episodes, from August 23 to September 27.[1]
Among the contestants, 12 girls were selected for the final group.[n 3] On September 27, 2023, the 6th episode, they held their debut showcase and made their debut with "Knock Knock".[3]
In December 2023, DDgirls performed at some of Dandong Entertainment's livestream events, before disbanding the same month.[4][5][6][n 4]

- ↑ Contestants could audition in three parts: vocal, dance, and visual. For vocal, they didn't have to dance, and for dance, they didn't have to sing. If they were not sure about either, or they were only confident in their looks, they can apply for the visual part.
