DAHLIA (달리아), formerly known as YULiONi (유리오니) and DAONBIN (다온빈), is a four-member girl group consisting of former members of Baby Boo.
History[]
2018–2020: Pre-debut[]
Daon and Dayul were members of the girl group Baby Boo, with Daon being a member of the original line-up and Dayul joining the group later on, in 2015, for their comeback "Kiss Me".
On July 17, 2018, Baby Boo's official Instagram and Twitter account's names were changed from "Baby Boo" to "DAONBIN". The two members left the group and company in August 2018 and reformed as a duo, managing to keep their original accounts.[1]
In early 2019, the group rebranded to "YULiONi" for unspecified reasons.[n 1] The duo's first post to include the new name was uploaded on February 2, of the same year.[2]
In April, the duo was joined by two other former Baby Boo members: Hajin and Roori (Jelly).[3] The two new members were never announced through YULiONi's official SNS accounts but through Dayul's personal Instagram.
In 2019, Dayul had departed from YULiONi and went onto become a member of the upcoming girl group Crescendo, leaving YULiONi's status as unknown. However, she also left Crescendo in 2020 before she could debut with them.
2022-present: Debut as DAHLIA[]
After more than one year of inactivity on SNS since August 2020, the group announced surprise reformation under the name DAHLIA. On March 31, 2022, they debuted with the digital single "Spotlight".[4]

- ↑ Though the reasons for their group name change were not given, it is likely taken from the last hangul of Dayul's and Daon's stage names, thus becoming Yuli (율이) and Oni (온이) with the suffix ~i (이). These are nickname versions of their names, which were then combined and stylized to become YULiONi (유리오니).
