History[]

Pre-debut[]

On July 5, 2022, Cupid opened their SNS accounts.[1] Though at the time, they did not officially introduced the members, several members were followed by the group's account, have commented and been mentioned in their posts, which included identified members: Sujeong (later known as May), Goeun (later known as Lin), Dayoung (later known as Bonnie). [2][3]

On July 9, Cupid posted an image with the captions 'SEE SEA' and the date August 13, presumably hinting at a debut date.[4]

2022: Debut with "See Sea"[]

Later, on July 16, Cupid revealed that they are currently in the process of shooting a music video and recording songs with August 13 being confirmed as their debut date with "See Sea", though this was later postponed to August 31.[5][6]

On August 30, Cupid announced they had a mishap with the song due to its deleting, in addition, they revealed that it was later postponed to September 4.[7]

On September 2, Cupid announced they will make their debut with three members revealing, in addition, some facts and positions of them.[8] They also clarified that the girl group is not a "real" group in the sense of being formed under a professional company, but independently formed by the members with assistance from others, thus they more resemble jihadol groups.
