cosmosy (코스모시) is a four-member global girl group under NTT Docomo Studio & Live and Sony Music Entertainment Korea. They debuted on December 31, 2024 in Japan and on February 7, 2025 globally with the digital single "zigy=zigy", before making their official debut with the digital single "Lucky=One".[n 1]
Their group name symbolizes the "infinity of cosmos" and the "possibilities of youth".[1]
History[]
Pre-debut[]
On December 2, 2024, the group's official social media pages teased the group's name and number of members.[2] The next day, December 3, NTT Docomo (the largest mobile carrier in Japan) announced it would be venturing into the entertainment industry with its first girl group, of which was modeled after the Kpop industry's system.[3] Moreover, NTT Docomo announced that the all Japanese member lineup will be promoted as a 'global girl group'.
2024: Debut with "zigy=zigy"[]
cosmosy debuted on December 31, 2024, with their first digital single "zigy=zigy". On the same day, NTT Docomo Studio & Live announced that details regarding the group's global debut will be released soon.[4]
2025: Global debut, Sony Music Entertainment Korea, official debut with "Lucky=One"[]
On February 3, 2025, it was announced that cosmosy signed with Sony Music Entertainment Korea and they would be having their global debut on February 7.[5][6]
On March 13, cosmosy revealed through an interview with EVERLAST KOREA that they are preparing to release new music sometime this spring.[7]
On April 10, it was announced that cosmosy would be making their official debut with the digital single "Lucky=One", set to be released the following day.[8] On April 11, cosmosy made their debut stage performance on Music Bank.[9]
