Class Is Over (stylized as all-caps) is part one[Notes 1] of CLASS:y's debut mini album. It was released on May 5, 2022 with "Shut Down" serving as the album's title track.
The second part, Lives Across, was released on May 26, 2022.
Background[]
On April 16, 2022, it was announced that the group would release their debut mini album sometime in May.[1] The next day, CLASS:y revealed the timetable and object poster for their upcoming first mini album (Y) "Class Is Over", set to be released on May 5.[2]
Promotions[]
On May 4, a showcase was held at the Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul, South Korea, one day before the album release. During the showcase, the performance video for "Shut Down" was shown as well as a live performance from CLASS:y.[3]
Commercial performance[]
Hanteo reported that "Class is Over" sold 9,876 copies in its first day of release. In total, the album sold 18,023 copies in the first week.[4]
