Chord Share (코드쉐어) is a digital music release project by Devine Channel. It was initially a collaborative project with the agency Amoeba Culture in its first year of operations.

History[]

2019[]

Project 'Chord Share' was announced on March 12, 2019 by Amoeba Culture.[1] The first two releases featured mini albums by Devine Channel artists Thama on March 20, 2019 and Sole on June 16, 2019.[2][3]

In late June, a collaboration single between Amoeba Culture singer Hangzoo and an unrevealed singer was teased.[4] This singer was later revealed to be Miyeon of (G)I-DLE from Cube Entertainment.[5][6] The song was officially released on July 9, 2019.[7]

In later July, similar to their previous collaboration reveal, a collaboration single between Amoeba Culture singer HA:TFELT and an unrevealed singer was teased.[8] The singer was later revealed to be Moon Byul of MAMAMOO from RBW.[9][10] The song was officially released on August 1, 2019.[11]

2020–present[]

It wasn't until January of 2020 that Cord Share would expand as a unique project with SNS accounts for the project opening and the launch of its own website. Additionally, Amoeba Culture no longer had a role in Cord Share and was now solely operated by Devine Channel.

The first artist of the year to publish under Cord Share was K-hip-hop artist Kana Bathe who released the EP MISFIT on January 27, 2020.[12]

In late June, Cord Share announced its own sub-project, '8bar Relay', which would be conducted through TikTok to invite various fans to create music with their favorite artists.[13] The project ended in late July.

Later, in September, Cord Share announced its next project release, a collaborative single album between Kei Lim, Lil Cherry and GOLDBUUDA, titled "BYPRODUCT".[14] The single album was released on September 3, and featured artists Loopy, Chanyeol, Gaeko, Hwangil Jo and Lil Cherry and GOLDBUUDA.[15]

Its third project release of the season was digital single, "Hijacking", by hip hop artist Long Drive featuring Ourealgoat, released on June 20, 2021.[16]
