Chohyeon (초현), also known as HAKU (하쿠), is a South Korean singer-songwriter, producer, YouTuber, vocal coach and business woman under her own agency E&C Corporation. She is a former member of the pre-debut girl group OAHSIS.
She is also known as a contestant in the survival show MIXNINE.
Career[]
2016–2019: OAHSIS, MIXNINE[]
In 2016, Choyeon became a member of the pre-debut girl group OAHSIS (then known as SEEART).
In October 2017, she, alongside fellow members Hyeonju, Byeol and Yeeun, became a contestant on the survival show MIXNINE representing Yama&Hotchicks Entertainment. She was eliminated in episode 7 and ranked 92nd place overall.[1]
On October 11, 2019, member Joa announced via her Instagram that OAHSIS had been disbanded by KRAZY Entertainment before they could make their official debut.[2]
2021: HAKU[]
In January 2021, it was revealed that Chohyeon, who was credited as HAKU, composed Dreamcatcher's song "New Days" from their sixth mini album Dystopia : Road to Utopia. Since then, all her works as a composer and producer are under this pseudonym.[3]
2023-2024: YouTube career, E&C Corporation establishment[]
On January 20, 2023, Chohyeon opened a YouTube channel with her partner, Kim Eunha.[4]
In December 2024, the two of them established their own agency, E&C Corporation.[5]

Chohyeon came out publicly as a lesbian when she opened a YouTube channel with her fiancée Kim Eunha in January 2023.[4][6] She has also expressed her desire to be legally married in South Korea.[7]
