Chanyeol (찬열) is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, actor and producer under SM Entertainment. He is a member of the boy group EXO and its subunits EXO-K and EXO-SC.
He made his solo debut with the mini album Black Out on August 28, 2024.
Career[]
2012: Debut with EXO[]
He debuted as a member of EXO and its sub-unit EXO-K on April 9, 2012 with the first mini album Mama.
2019: Debut with EXO-SC[]
On July 22, 2019, Chanyeol debuted as a member of the group's sub-unit EXO-SC with the mini album What a Life.
2024: Solo debut with Black Out[]
On May 8, 2024, SM Entertainment announced that Chanyeol will be debuting with his first mini album in the third quarter of the year.[2] On July 27, it was confirmed that he will be debuting in August.[3] On August 9, it was announced that Chanyeol will be debuting on August 28 with his first mini album, Black Out.[4]

Military service[]
Chanyeol enlisted as an active duty soldier on March 29, 2021.[5][6] On September 23, it was announced that he was casted in the military musical Meissa's Song.[7] He was then discharged on September 28, 2022.[8][9]
