Chae Bo Hoon (채보훈) is a South Korean singer-songwriter, producer and musician under Applejam. He releases solo music under his one-man band The VANE. He is a member of the male duo YDYD and a former member of the rock band Purple Rain.
Career[]
2014–2015: Pulse[]
Chae Bo Hoon debuted in the band Pulse on December 15, 2014 with bassist Hwang Hyeon Mo. The band disbanded in 2015 in order to become The VANE.
2015: The VANE[]
Chae Bo Hoon debuted in the band The VANE with bassist Hwang Hyeon Mo and drummer Han Hee Soo on October 29, 2015.
After Hwang Hyeon Mo's and Han Hee Soo's departure from the group in 2017, The VANE became a one-man band centered around Bo Hoon.
2019–2020: SuperBand and Purple Rain[]
Chae Bo Hoon participated on JTBC's audition show SuperBand and won third place with his band Purple Rain.
The band debuted on February 28, 2020 with their first digital single "The King Must Die".
On October 19, JTBC Studio announced the band's disbandment after concluding activities on the 14th.[1]

He announced his military enlistment on June 24, 2020.[2][3][4][5] He started his service on June 30, 2020.[6] He was officially discharged on December 29, 2021.[7]
