Candy Shop (μΊλμ΅; stylized as π²ππππ’ πππΥ©) is a five-member girl group under Brave Entertainment. They made their debut on March 27, 2024 with the mini album Hashtag#.
"Candy" stands for "CAtch N Draw Youth" and "Shop" represents the space connecting the members to their fans.[1]
History[]
Pre-debut[]
On January 2, 2024, Brave Entertainment announced that they are planning to debut a four-member girl group in the first half of 2024.[2]
On January 12, Brave Entertainment announced the name of the group to be Candy Shop.[1]
On February 12, Brave Entertainment launched the group's SNS accounts.[3] The next day, profile photos for the group were uploaded.[4] On February 14, Sui was introduced as the group's first member,[5] followed by Sarang on February 15,[6] Soram on February 16,[7] and Yuina on February 17.[8]
2024: Debut, member changes, Girls Don't Cry[]
On March 1, Brave Entertainment announced that Candy Shop will debut on March 27.[9] On March 11, they released a teaser for their debut mini album Hashtag#.[10]
On May 8, Brave Entertainment announced that member Yuina would temporarily suspend activities due to health issues, as a result a new member will be recruited.[11]
On May 14, Julia was announced a new member.[12]
That same day, they announced that the group will be coming back in June.[13] On June 3, Candy Shop announced that they will be releasing their second mini album, Girls Don't Cry, on June 12.[14]
