CSR (Korean: 첫사랑; Japanese: チョッサラン) is a seven-member girl group under A2Z Entertainment. They debuted on July 27, 2022 with the mini album Sequence : 7272.

The girl group's concept is a 'class of young girls who were born in 2005.'

Career[]

2019–2022: Pre-debut as 05Class[]

In 2019, J Planet Entertainment opened SNS accounts for their new upcoming girl group '05Class', then consisting of members Sua, Seoyeon, Yeham, Dahyun and Taehee; however, Dahyun and Taehee departed from the group in February 2020. Geumhee was added to the lineup in April 2020, and Duna joined in December 2020. On January 7, 2022, they introduced two new members, Sihyeon and Yuna.[1]

During this time, Yoonjung, Gaeun, Sona, and Naeun were also added to the lineup, but all four withdrew shortly after being added.

2022: Debut with Sequence : 7272, "Sequence : 17&" and first music show win[]

On July 8, 2022, the group's name was revealed to be 첫사랑 (CSR), meaning “first love”, and the group's official SNS accounts were opened.[2] It was also determined that the group will be debuting under A2Z Entertainment instead of J Planet Entertainment.

In the following days, two debut trailers were released, before a schedule poster, posted on July 11, confirmed the release of their first mini album Sequence : 7272, scheduled for July 28. The group debuted a day prior with the release of the music video for the title track, "Pop? Pop!".[3]

On October 26, 2022, A2Z Entertainment announced that the group would make their first comeback on November 17.[4] Around a week later, on November 6, 2022, a schedule teaser was released, revealing the comeback to be a single album called "Sequence : 17&".[5]

On November 17, they revealed their fandom name to be "Maeum".[6]

On December 2, the group received their first music show win on Music Bank with "Loveticon (♡TiCON)". [7]

2023: Delight, leadership change, "HBD To You (Midnight Ver.)", "HBD To You"[]

On March 13, 2023, EDAILY reported that CSR will return with a new mini-album later this month.[8] The next day, CSR revealed that their second mini album, Delight, will be released on March 29.[9] On July 27, it was announced that Sua would be stepping down as leader and Duna would become the leader of the group going forward.[10]

On November 17, it was announced that CSR would released their first digital single "HBD To You (Midnight Ver.)" on November 26.[11]

On December 17, the group released their second digital single "HBD To You".[12]

On December 22, A2Z announced that members Geumhee, Seoyeon, Duna, and Yeham will be going on hiatus from group activities due to their overseas schedules.[13]

2024: "L'heure Bleue : Prologue", L'heure Bleue[]

On May 26, 2024, the group released a teaser for their upcoming comeback which is set to be released on June 11.[14]

On May 29, the group announced their plans to release their second single album "L'heure Bleue : Prologue" on June 11 and release their debut Japanese mini album L'heure Bleue on July 3.[15]
