CATCH THE YOUNG (캐치더영) is a five-member boy band under Evermore Entertainment. They debuted on November 1, 2023 with their first mini album Catch The Young : Fragments of Youth.
History[]
Pre-debut[]
The group, then known as EVERMORE THE YOUNG, was first revealed on their Instagram page on June 11, 2021.[1] Members Sani, Kihoon, and Seojung were introduced over the next few weeks. Namhyun and Euijean later joined the group as well, with Euijean subsequently leaving.
On October 13, 2021, Evermore Entertainment announced that they were looking to recruit one keyboardist and one guitarist for their band set to debut in 2022.[2]
On March 2022, Seojung left the company for unknown reasons.
On April 11, 2022, Minuk was introduced as the temporary replacement drummer of the band.[3]
On April 13, 2022, their agency announced the band has changed its name to Catch The Young and that they would be participating in Mnet's "Audition Live Streaming".[4]
On May 30, 2022, the band announced that Minuk's last performance with the band would be held on May 29.[5]
On March 16, 2023, they revealed a new member, Jungmo during their first concert "Catch The Young Wave",[6] followed by Junyong on April 21.[7]
2023: Debut with Catch The Young : Fragments of Youth[]
On October 16, it was announced that the group will debut on November 1 with their first mini album Catch The Young : Fragments of Youth.[8]
2024: First comeback with Catch The Young : Fragments of Odyssey, "Dream It", name change[]
On March 15, 2024, they announced their second mini album, Catch The Young : Fragments of Odyssey, to be released on April 3.[9]
On June 2024, the group's SNS accounts were rebranded from Catch The Young to CATCH THE YOUNG.
On July 30, 2024, they announced their first single album, "Dream It", to be released on August 6.[10]
2025: "You, Always (2025)", "The Young Wave", upcoming full-length album[]
On January 18, 2025, it was announced that CATCH THE YOUNG will release their first digital single, "You, Always (2025)", to be released on January 22.[11]
On April 26, the group teased that they would release something on April 30.[12] On April 29, the group released a teaser for the digital single "The Young Wave".[13] Through its release, it was revealed that the single acts as the pre-release for their upcoming first full-length album.[14]
