"Butter (Megan Thee Stallion Remix)", also known as "Butter (feat. Megan Thee Stallion)", is an English remix digital single by BTS. It was released on August 27, 2021 and features American rapper-songwriter Megan Thee Stallion.
Background and release[]
On August 24, 2021, it was revealed through a court filing that Megan Thee Stallion had submitted a petition against her record label 1501 Certified Entertainment and its CEO Carl Crawford for preventing her from releasing the track. Stallion was seeking emergency relief from the court to release the song as previously-scheduled. She also argued that blocking the release would cause "irreparable damage" to her career.[1] On August 25, the judge granted Stallion the right to release the song on August 27.[2]
