Blossom (성장) is the third mini album by D.O.. It was released on May 7, 2024 with "Mars" serving as the album's title track.
"Popcorn" was pre-released on April 30, 2024.
The physical album comes in two versions: Mars and Popcorn.
Background[]
On January 3, 2024, Osen reported that D.O. will be releasing a solo album in May. A representative from Company Soosoo later confirmed that D.O is currently preparing for a new album aiming for a release in the first half of the year.[1] On April 8, he released a teaser for his third mini album Blossom, scheduled for release on May 7.[2]
Composition[]
The title track "Mars" is a medium tempo pop song that presents the story of lovers with different personalities, their worries and courage to overcome everything to approach the one they love first. It has a minimalistic arrangement and emotional melody.[3]

Blossom was ranked #16 on the Billboard's top 25 best K-Pop albums of 2024 list.[4]
Commercial performance[]
Blossom reached #1 on the iTunes Top Albums charts in 36 different regions and topped QQ Music's and KuGou Music's digital album sales charts in China. Meanwhile "Mars" hit #1 on the iTunes Top Songs charts in 23 different regions.[5]
