Bitsaeon (빛새온) is a South Korean singer under FM Entertainment. He is the main vocalist of the boy group M.O.N.T and the leader of the project boy group B.D.U.
He is best known for being a contestant on the reality survival show MIXNINE, Peak Time and Build Up : Vocal Boy Group Survivor
Career[]
2017: "Sorry" and MIXNINE[]
In 2017, he was announced as a member of the boy group M.O.N.T, and, on May 19, they released a pre-debut digital single, titled "Sorry".
Some months later he, alongside fellow members, joined the JTBC's survival show MIXNINE. He was eliminated in episode 8 after ranking 104th place.[1]
2019: Debut with M.O.N.T[]
On January 4, he officially debuted as a member of M.O.N.T, with the mini album Going Up.
2022: "Telescope"[]
On May 30, in celebration of Bitsaeon's return from military service, a welcome back week schedule was released which announced that he would be releasing a solo single, "Telescope", on June 3.[2]
2023: Peak Time[]
On January 5, 2023, it was confirmed that M.O.N.T (with two members: Bitsaeon and Roda) would participate in JTBC's Peak Time. Their silhouette was revealed through a performance of "Something" by TVXQ!.[3][4] M.O.N.T finished the competition in sixth place during the final episode aired on April 19.[5]
2024: Build Up, Debut with B.D.U[]
In January 2024, Bitsaeon was revealed as a contestant on Mnet's reality survival show Build Up : Vocal Boy Group Survivor.[6] In the final episode, which aired on March 29, HunMinJayBit placed first and hence Bitsaeon was revealed as a member of the project group B.D.U.[7] They made their debut on June 26, 2024 with their first mini album Wishpool.

Military service[]
On November 16, 2020, Bitsaeon revealed in a letter posted to M.O.N.T's fan cafe that he would be enlisting on November 30.[8] He completed his service on April 22, 2022, ahead of his official discharge date of May 29 due to having vacation days remaining.[9]
