Big Ocean (빅오션) is a three-member boy group under Parastar Entertainment. They debuted on April 20, 2024 with the digital single "Glow".

They are the first deaf idol group and seek to break misunderstandings and prejudices toward disabled people. The group uses Korean Sign Language (KSL), American Sign Language (ASL), and International Sign Language (ISL).[1]

History[]

2024: Debut with "Glow", "Blow", "Slow", Follow[]

On March 22, 2024, Parastar Entertainment announced that Big Ocean will be debuting on April 20, which aligns with South Korea's Persons with Disabilities Day, with their first digital single "Glow".[2] They had their debut stage on MBC's Show! Music Core.[3]

Through an interview with Parastar Entertainment's CEO, Cha Haley, it was revealed that Big Ocean will release two singles in May and June.[4]

On May 31, they announced that they will be releasing their second digital single "Blow" on June 1.[5]

On August 5, it was announced that Big Ocean will be releasing their third digital single "Slow" featuring DAY6's Young K, on August 11.[6]

On October 31, it was announced that Big Ocean will be releasing their first mini album Follow on November 12.[7]

2025: "Bright", Underwater[]

On February 10, 2025, Big Ocean released their fourth digital single "Bright".[8]

On March 21, Big Ocean announced they will be making a comeback in April.[9] On March 27, it was announced that Big Ocean will be releasing their second mini album Underwater on April 20.[10]
