Between 1&2 is the 11th mini album by TWICE. It was released on August 26, 2022 with "Talk that Talk" serving as the album's title track.
The physical album comes in four versions: Archive, Cryptography, Pathfinder, and Complete. In the United States, four limited digital editions were released from August 30 to early September, with different voice memos included.[1]
Background[]
On July 12, 2022, a teaser photo posted across the group's social medias revealed TWICE's plans for a comeback, as well as the comeback work's title, release date, and format.[2][3]
Promotions[]
TWICE held a comeback live on August 26 through the group's YouTube channel at 9 pm KST.[4] On August 24, JYP revealed that member Jihyo had tested positive for COVID-19 and will be missing the upcoming music show performances.[5] TWICE made their first music show appearance on August 26 at Music Bank where they performed "Talk that Talk".[6]
Commercial performance[]
As of August 24, Between 1&2 has reached 1 million pre-orders.[7]
Hanteo reported that Between 1&2 sold 288,836 copies in its first day of release[6] and a total of 532,622 copies in its first week of release.[8]
Between 1&2 debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart. This is TWICE's second album to chart in the top three on the chart. The album reached 100,000 equivalent album units (94,000 traditional album sales and 6,000 streaming equivalent album units) for the week of August 26 - September 1.[9] It has spent six consecutive weeks, making it TWICE's first album to do so[10], as well as the first K-pop girl group album of 2022 to spend eight weeks on the Billboard 200.[11]
Between 1&2 debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart and #2 on the Billboard Tastemakers Album chart.[12]
Circle Chart reported that Between 1&2 sold 997,324 copies in the month of August.[13] The album then reached 1,059,362 copies sold in the next month's update which means it received a million certification.[14]

A limited-edition monograph was released on July 17, 2023. It is a 150-pages photobook, with behind-the-scenes pictures taken during the album photoshoot and the "Talk That Talk" music video shooting. 9 members photocards are also included.
