Background

On July 31, 2023, it was announced that aespa will be releasing the English digital single, "Better Things", on August 18.

On August 8, SM Entertainment revealed that the release time for "Better Things" had been changed to 1pm KST.

Composition

"Better Things" is described as an up-temp minimalistic dance genre song. The track gives off a refreshing feel and features a rhythmic percussion sound that fits summer alongside a unique rhythm pattern. The lyrics talk about giving focus to more valuable things in life.
