Beauty Box (뷰티박스) is a multinational girl group under BY-U Entertainment. They made their debut on September 23, 2021 with the single album "Beyond of BB".[1][2]
History[]
Pre-debut[]
On June 21, 2021, BY-U Entertainment revealed their new group name and released the first Beauty Box official teaser on YouTube indicating that they are ready to debut.[3] The members were revealed through their individual vlogs from July 1 to July 29, starting with Rina, followed by Anh, Sara, Gahyun, and Jerin.[4][5][6][7][8] Sori is a secret member so she last appeared in her vlog on August 26.[9]
2021: Debut with "Beyond of BB", fandom name, first online fanmeeting[]

On September 19, it was announced that they would make debut on September 23, 2021 with the single album "Beyond of BB".[10]
On September 23, the group officially debuted with their first single album "Beyond of BB".
On November 11, Beauty Box announced their official fandom name to be "WIBBON". The name is an abbreviation for "With Beauty Box Open", meaning 'Let's open a beauty box together'.[11]
On December 21, they revealed that they would be holding their first online mini fanmeeting titled Beauty Box's Coming to X-MAS on December 24 via YouTube.[12]
2022: First online concert, B-Step, "Higher Up", Anh's hiatus[]

On March 28, it was announced that the group would hold their first online mini concert titled 2022 Beauty Box Online Mini Concert 'Dream of Spring' on April 14 via YouTube.[13]
On June 14, they officially announced that they will be making their first comeback on June 27 with the EP B-Step.[14]
On November 28, 2022, Beauty Box have released a special single "Higher Up" as a support of South Korea for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Member Anh didn't participate due to unknown reasons before the agency finally released a statement.[15] Later, BY-U Entertainment announced that Anh would be going on a hiatus due to health reasons and the group will be promoting with five members for the time being.[16]
2023: Jerin's removal, addition of Chaeeun and Via, Anh's departure, Rina and Sara's hiatuses and removal[]
On January 6, 2023, it was reported by NewsKorea that the group is preparing for their next comeback soon.[17]
On March 12, Beauty Box's company BY-U Entertainment announced that member Jerin had been removed from the group due to "foreign visa violations" and "reasons attributable to herself as an artist", and that the group would continue on with five members.[18]
On May 12, BY-U Entertainment revealed that Chaeeun would be joining to the group as a new member.[19]
On May 29, BY-U Entertainment announced that Anh had officially left Beauty Box and terminated her contract with the company due to ongoing health reasons, and Via would be joining the group as a new member.[20]
On June 21, BY-U Entertainment revealed that Via would be joining to the group as a new member.[21]
On September 20, BY-U Entertainment announced that Rina and Sara would be going on hiatus due to health reasons. The group will continue to promote as four members until their return.[22] Since then, on October 3, the agency released a statement announcing that the comeback would be delayed once again to the first half of 2024 in order not to create any more gaps for fans who are looking forward to the comeback of Beauty Box due to the hiatus of members Rina and Sara.
On November 13, fans noticed that Rina and Sara were removed from the Beauty Box Instagram bio.[23]
2024: "Shine On", B-Turn, termination of contracts[]
On February 26, 2024, it was revealed that Beauty Box would be returning in April 2024 with a special album, as they plan to host an online pre-release event.[24]

On March 26, Beauty Box officially announced that they will be hosting a pre-release event for their first special single "Shine On" on April 6, 2024, prior to their upcoming comeback with a new album.[25][26][27] On April 25, it was announced that the album will ultimately released on May 7.[28]
On June 18, it was revealed that Beauty Box would make a comeback with a new album, slated to launch in July 2024, and the music video was filmed in Vietnam.[29][30] On July 2, Beauty Box announced that they will make a comeback on July 9 with the second EP B-Turn.[31]
On December 2, BY-U Entertainment revealed that Beauty Box members Chaeeun, Sori and Gahyun officially terminated their exclusive contracts while Via decided to remain with the company.[32] On December 6, it was revealed that member Via would remain as a member of the group, while the agency was holding an audition to find new members.[33][34]
