Baby J (베이비 제이), also known by her birth name Ha Juyeon (하주연), is a South Korean rapper and singer. She is a former member of the girl group Jewelry and it's sub-unit JewelryS. 

Career[]

2008–2015: Jewelry, JewelryS[]

Following the departures of Lee Ji Hyun and Cho Minah in 2006, Baby J, alongside Kim Eunjung, were added to Jewelry in 2008. They made their debut as members on February 20, 2008 with the group's fifth album Kitchi Island.

On January 22, 2009 she debuted as a member of the sub unit JewelryS alongside Eunjung with the release of their first single album "Sweet Song".

On November 18, 2014, she announced her departure from Jewelry and Star Empire Entertainment following the expiration of her contract. With Baby J's leaving, the future of the group was left in question amongst fans.[1] On January 7, 2015, it was announced Jewelry would officially disband after nearly fourteen years.[2]

2016: Unpretty Rapstar 3[]

In 2016, she became a contestant on the competition show Unpretty Rapstar 3. She was eliminated in episode 6.[3]
