BLAZE (블레이즈) is a female duo under Space Music Entertainment. They debuted on January 28, 2022 with the digital single "Funny Game".
History[]
2021: Pre-debut[]
On April 14, SNS accounts were opened for a brand new girl group named BLAZE, formed by MUGIT Entertainment.[1] Their first member Sian (now Saeha) was revealed on April 28, followed by Yujin on May 10.[2] The girl group lacked a solid line-up of members, thus the agency opened auditions which lasted until the end of July. Their official third member, Haena, was introduced on August 17.[3] A few weeks later, the group opened a new Instagram account, which only follows Saeha and Haena. The two members also unfollowed Yujin, signaling her departure from the group. They also opened auditions for women from ages 20 to 25.[4]
In late November, BLAZE began posting pre-debut teaser photos of Haena and Saena, confirming that BLAZE had now become a female duo.[5] Their new official website also confirmed that BLAZE Entertainment as their new agency.[6]
2022: Debut, new agency[]
On January 28, 2022, BLAZE announced that they would be debuting on the same day with the digital single "Funny Game".[7]
On August 25, they joined Space Music Entertainment through a post by the agency and a presentation teaser video on BLAZE YouTube channel confirming them as a dance team.[8][9]
