BADKIZ (배드키즈), formerly known as HOT PLACE, is a four-member independent girl group. Originally as five, they debuted on March 24, 2014 with the single "Ear Attack".
History[]
2014: Debut with "Ear Attack", Yeunji and Eunjoo's departure, addition of Yoomin and Hana, "Babomba"[]

On March 24, 2014, BADKIZ made their debut with their first digital single "Ear Attack". The lineup consisted of BomBom, Yeunji, Eunjoo, Monika and Jina.[1]
On June 3, it was announced that Yeunji and Eunjoo had left the group to become actresses.[2] With this, two new members, Yoomin and Hana, were recruited in September 2014.[citation needed]
On November 13, the group made their first comeback with the digital single "Babomba".
2015: Yoomin, Hana, BomBom and Jina's departure, addition of K.Me, Lua and Haneul, "Come Closer"[]
In March 2015, Yoomin announced that she had left BADKIZ. With this, Lua was recruited and the group continued to promote as five. However, this was short-lived as Hana, BomBom and Jina later departed from the group that same month and two new members, K.Me and Haneul, were added in.[citation needed]

On August 7, the group released their third digital single "Come Closer". The comeback was originally scheduled for release on July 31 but was delayed due to the director losing the footage for their music video.[3]
2016: Haneul's departure, addition of U-si and Somin, "Hothae", Lua's departure, addition of Duna, "Ear Attack 2"[]
On May 24, 2016, it was reported that Haneul had left the group and was replaced by U-si and Somin.[4]

On June 21, they opened a crowdfunding project on MAKESTAR for their comeback, which managed to raise $4.328.[5] With this, they made their comeback on August 16, 2016 with their fourth digital single "Hothae".
In October, Lua left the group as she suffered from a broken arm and leg, due to a car accident. She was then replaced by Duna.[citation needed]
On November 21, the group released their fifth digital single "Ear Attack 2", a remake of their debut song.
2017: "Give It To Me", Duna and U-si's departure, Dahyun and Sol.B's addition[]

On July 4, 2017, the group released their sixth digital single "Give It To Me", which was crowdfunded through MAKESTAR.[6]
On November 10, it was announced that Duna and U-si had left the group due to personal reasons.[7] With this, Dahyun (later known as Lohee) and Sol.B were added to the group.[citation needed]
2018: Monika's departure, "Just One Day", Sol.B, K.Me and Lohee's departure & addition of Hanbit, Hayoung and Sihyun[]
On March 20, 2018, Monika announced that she would be leaving the group to pursue a solo career.[8]

On April 6, they released their seventh digital single "Just One Day". Shortly after this, Sol.B left the group and was replaced by Hanbit.
In September, K.Me announced her departure due to her contract expiring. A few days later, Hayoung joined the group. Sometime after this, Lohee announced her departure from BADKIZ due to health issues and new member Sihyun, was added to the group. With this, the agency deleted old BADKIZ content from their SNS to make a fresh start.[9]
2019: Hayoung's departure, rebrand as HOT PLACE, Taeri's addition, "Hot Place"[]

On February 15, 2019, their agency announced the group had changed their name to HOT PLACE.[10] Three days later, they opened a MAKESTAR project to crowdfund their upcoming release. It was also revealed that Hayoung had left the group and was replaced by Taeri.[11] While the MAKESTAR project failed to reach their goal, they still made their comeback on March 29, 2019 with their self-titled digital single "Hot Place".
2020: Sihyun and Taeri's departure, revert to original name, Semi, Rawhi and Rozi's addition, Rawhi's departure, cancelled comeback & initial disbandment[]
In February 2020, Sihyun and Taeri announced on their personal instagram accounts that they would be leaving the group, with Sihyun returning to acting.[12] Following their departure, the group reverted to their original name BADKIZ.
On April 1, Semi, Rawhi and Rozi were announced as new members.[13] However, Rahwi ended up leaving shortly after due to health issues.[citation needed]
On June 1, the group opened another MAKESTAR project to crowdfund their comeback. However, the project failed to reach their funding goal and the comeback was cancelled.[14]
On October 14, Eunyu, Seoeun and Semi announced their departure from BADKIZ, with Eunyu and Seoeun focusing on their career as cheerleaders and Semi going back to being a dancer.[15][16][17] Later that same day, Rozi revealed the group had disbanded.[18]
2022-2023: Reformation[]
On September 14, 2022, the group announced on Instagram that they were planning to be active again, with a 4 member line up consisting of: Somin (formerly Eunyu), Rosy, Seoeun & Yousi (formerly U-si).[19]
Throughout 2023, the group mainly promoted at participatory concerts in Korea and Thailand.
2024: Seoeun's departure, Harin's addition, Yousi's departure, Soyee's re-entry, Rosy's departure, Hyeji and Yeso's addition, Soyee & Somin's departure[]
On February 25, 2024, Seoeun personally announced her departure from the group.[20]
On May 18, Harin was spotted in a photo of BADKIZ in the recording studio, posted by Yousi on her Instagram Stories.[21] She was later introduced as an official member on the 26th of the following month.[22]
In August, it appeared that Yousi had left the group while Soyee (formerly Seoeun) rejoined.[23]
On November 3, Rosy announced her departure from BADKIZ on her Instagram stories.[24] Near the end of November, it was spotted that Harin had also left BADKIZ just five months after her addition and two new members, Hyeji and Leesol, were recruited.[25]
On December 16, Somin and Soyee shared that they had departed from the group, with Somin asking fans to show support for the future BADKIZ members.[26]
2025: New start[]
On March 27, 2025, Hyeji officially announced her new start as BADKIZ's Byeol to her Instagram stories.[27]
On June 14, the group appeared at Time Capsule Super Concert in Songdo with a new lineup, consisting of Byeol, Leesol, Haru and Jian.[28]

- Duna is a former member of ZZBest and HOTTIES, under the stage names DanA and Hyena respectively.
- Before BADKIZ's reformation in 2022, Yousi became a member of Blue Fox after her departure from the group.
- Harin is a former member of Blue Fox and Baby Boo.
