"B-Side" is the second digital single by Wanna One. It was released on January 27, 2022.
The single is the third and final part of their "Beautiful" series, which began with "Beautiful", released in 2017, and "Beautiful (Part Ⅱ)", released in 2018.[1]
Background[]
On November 15, 2021, it was confirmed that Wanna One (with the exception of Kuanlin) would hold a reunion stage at the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards on December 11, 2021.[2] At the award ceremony, the group performed "Energetic", "Burn It Up", and a new song "Beautiful Part.3".
On January 10, 2022, it was confirmed that "Beautiful Part.3" would be released on January 27, 2022.[1] The following day, it was announced that the song's release would feature all 11 members as Kuanlin, who was absent from the 2021 MAMA stage, had recorded his lines remotely in China.[3]
On January 24, 2022, Swing Entertainment released the first teaser image for the digital single "B-Side". The meaning behind the single's name is replaying the time between Wanna One and Wannables, which had stopped on the 'A-Side', along with the additional meaning of 'Beside' in that they will always be by your side.[4]
