ALPHA DRIVE ONE (알파드라이브원; also shortened to ALD1) is an upcoming eight-member multinational project boy group under WAKEONE, created through the Mnet reality survival show Boys II Planet. They are stated to make their debut in early 2026.

Pre-debut: Boys II Planet[]

On July 27, 2024, Mnet officially confirmed they plan to air Planet B in 2025. Although they already began accepting applications from potential contestants, the production team decided to extend the application period. They announced they will be opening global auditions from August 10 for any male born before January 1, 2012, regardless of nationality, affiliation with an agency, or past experience as a singer.[2]

On July 29, Mnet announced that they plan to make the entire audition participant recruitment process, which has usually been conducted privately until the broadcast, into a prequel program.[3]

On November 22, Mnet officially announced that Boys II Planet would premiere in 2025. The first teaser was revealed during the 2024 MAMA Awards. The candidates are able to choose between the "K" and "C" programs when applying. Applications are open for any boy born before January 1, 2012, regardless of nationality, and will run from November 22 to January 26, 2025.[4] Later on, Mnet extended the application period to March 23, 2025 for the K-Group applicants and March 2, 2025 for C-Group applicants. [5]

In February 2025, additional auditions for recruitment of participants in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam were announced through Mnet's recruitment videos.[6][7]

On May 12, it was announced that Planet K will premiere on July 17, while its counterpart Planet C will premiere on July 18.[8]

Boys II Planet premiered on July 17, 2025 while the live finale was broadcasted on September 25, 2025, revealing the final eight members to debut the show's project group, ALPHA DRIVE ONE; Sangwon ranked first overall, obtaining a center position and a solo song on their debut album, followed by Anxin ranking second, Xinlong ranked third, Geonwoo ranked fourth, Arno ranked fifth, Leo ranked sixth, Sanghyeon ranked seventh and Junseo ranked eighth.[9] During the live broadcast it was stated that the group would promote for five years.

Following the finale, the group's official SNS accounts were opened.[10] They are expected to debut in early 2026.[11]

On September 26, it was reported by My Daily that during their five-year contract period, each member would be able to pursue individual activities.[11]

On September 30, Dispatch reported that the group would be active up to six years. The standard contract term is five years, during which members can only promote as part of a group, plus one extra year for special activities. During this year, the members are required to participate in one album promotion and one concert tour organized by CJ, but are otherwise free to pursue their own activities.[12]

On November 1, the group announced their fandom name, ALLYZ, through a live.[13]
