ADYA (에이디야) is a five-member girl group under Starting House Entertainment. They made their debut on May 9, 2023 with the single album "ADYA".[2]
Their name is short for "Adventure Ya."[3]
History[]
Pre-debut[]
On March 12, 2023, Starting House Entertainment released a teaser photo featuring five female trainees whilst simultaneously announcing plans to debut their first-ever girl group sometime that same year.[2] Six days later, on March 17, a second teaser photo was posted with the words 'Coming Soon' and the date March 20.[4] On the same day, members Seungchae and Chaeeun were revealed through an appearance at Seoul Fashion Week.[5][6][7] On March 20, Sena was revealed as the group's third member.[8] On March 23, Yeonsu was revealed as the group's fourth member.[9] On the same day, the group's name was confirmed to be ADYA after they changed their account username. On March 24, Seowon was revealed as the group's fifth and final member.[10]
2023: Debut with "ADYA", "What's Up?"[]
On April 27, a teaser was released, reveling that the group will debut on May 9 with the single album "ADYA".[11]
On August 1, Starting House Entertainment announced that ADYA will be having a comeback in August.[12] On August 10, it was announced that the group will be releasing their first digital single, "What's Up?", on August 16.[13]
2024: "Rizz"[]
On August 23, it was announced that the group will be releasing their second digital single, "Rizz", on August 26.[14]
