ABLUE (Korean: 에이블루; Japanese: エイブルー) is a six-member boy group under J-Star Entertainment. They debuted on October 23, 2022 with the single album "Color_The Start".

History[]

Pre-debut: Lineup reveal, reorganization, fandom name[]

On September 15, 2021, J-Star Entertainment posting an image of ABLUE's official logo on its Twitter,[2] and revealed the group's first member, Sukjun.[3] On September 16, You was revealed as the group's second member,[4] followed by Seongsoo on September 17,[5] H (WinL) on September 18,[6] On on September 19,[7] and Seunghee on September 20.[8]

On March 4, 2022, it was announced that they would be holding their concert ABLUE Premium Live in Tokyo 2022 at J-Stage O! in Okubo, Shinjuku, Tokyo, starting on March 13.[9]

On June 17, 2022, J-Star announced that they would be reorganizing their agency's artists into two groups: ABLUE and ANTARES, and that they would be known as AA when performing together.[10] In a following tweet, the updated lineup was announced: WinL, You, On, Wonjun, Taehwang, Sukjun, and Seongsoo.[11]

On June 19, 2022, it was announced that they would be holding their concert ABLUE Japan Live Event 'Again ABLUE', starting on June 22.[12]

On September 21, 2022, they announced that Taehwang will not be debuting in the group for personal reasons, however the remaining 6 members plan to make their debut soon.[13]

On October 8, 2022, J-Star Entertainment revealed through their Twitter that ABLUE's fandom name would be BLUEVERY.[1]

2022: Debut with "Color_The Start"[]

On October 10, ABLUE announced that they will be debuting on October 22, 2022 with their first single album "Color_The Start".[14] On October 15, they announced that their debut date had been delayed to October 23.[15]

2023: "Fake Love", new member, "Blue Of Winter"[]

On May 2, ABLUE announced that they will releasing their second single album "Fake Love" on August 3.[16][17]

On August 30, they revealed a new member, Gyuchan.[18]

On November 30, ABLUE announced that they will releasing their third single album "Blue Of Winter" on December 21.[19]

2024: WinL's departure[]

On April 28, 2024, ABLUE announced that their recent Japanese activities will be their last as their current lineup.[20] On May 11, WinL personally announced that he decided to end his activities as an idol to focus on his health.[21]
