AB6IX (에이비식스; known pre-debut as BRANDNEWBOYS (브랜뉴보이즈)) is a five-member boy group under Brand New Music. They officially debuted on May 22, 2019 with their first mini album B:Complete.[2]

Their name is short for "ABSOLUTE SIX", meaning that the full line-up of BRANDNEWBOYS achieve absolute perfection when the five members and the fandom are together. Their name is also an abbreviation of "ABOVE BRANDNEW SIX" which reflects the hopes that the five members and their fans will open up new horizons for Brand New Music.[3]

Trivia

  • Young Min, Dong Hyun, Woo Jin, and Dae Hwi were contestants on Mnet's boy group survival show Produce 101 Season 2. Woo Jin and Dae Hwi finished in 6th and 3rd place, respectively, thus debuting in the project group Wanna One. Young Min and Dong Hyun were eliminated and finished in 15th and 28th place, respectively.
  • Young Min and Dong Hyun are also members of Starship Entertainment and Brand New Music's collaboration project group YDPP.
