WOO (우) is a South Korean rapper, singer and CEO under his own company GDHG. He is a former member of the boy group LIMITLESS.

He made his solo debut on February 18, 2021 with the digital single "I Still Love You".

Career[]

2017: Produce 101 Season 2[]

In 2017, Hyun Woo, who represented The Vibe Label, participated in survival show Produce 101 Season 2. He was eliminated in the episode 5 and finished in 61th place. During trial proceedings for the Produce 101 vote manipulation investigation in November 2020, the court revealed that he was one of the contestants that were eliminated due to manipulation.[1]

After the show, he left the company and signed with ONO Entertainment.

2019–2021: LIMITLESS, solo debut with "I Still Love You"[]

Hyun Woo debuted with the boy group LIMITLESS on July 9, 2019 under the stage name A.M.

LIMITLESS is presumed to have disbanded sometime in 2020 due to the inactivity of their official SNS accounts.

On February 18, 2021, he made his solo debut with the release of his first digital single "I Still Love You".

2022: Company establishment, "Run With Me"[]

On March 22, 2022, he announced that he established his own company called GDHG.[2]

On December 4, he announced that he well be releasing his second digital single "Run With Me" on December 9, under his birth name Seong Hyunwoo.[3]

2023: Lawsuit against ONO, new stage name, "Just Me", fandom name, "Precipice", Be:loved, "Num"[]

On January 12, 2023, Hyun Woo revealed through his Instagram that he won his lawsuit against ONO Entertainment to suspend his exclusive contract.[4]

On February 24, he announced that he would be going by the stage name WOO.[5] Later that same day, he released his third digital single "Just Me".[6]

On March 17, he announced his fandom name to be WOO'RUNGJI, which is a combination of the words Woo and Nurungji, meaning that "it goes beyond the relationship between a singer and a fan to become one and stay together until it sticks".[7]

On May 13, he announced that he will release his first mini album Be:loved on May 30.[8] "Precipice" was pre-released on May 14.

On December 2, he announced that he will release his first single album "Num" on December 10.[9]
