8TURN (Korean: 에잇턴; Japanese: エイトターン) is an eight-member boy group under MNH Entertainment. They made their debut on January 30, 2023 with the mini album 8TURNRISE.

Their name means 'the turn of eight boys with infinite potential', and contains the ambition to lead a new generation in the K-pop scene, referencing the group's eight members.

History[]

Pre-debut[]

On March 4, 2022, MNH Entertainment opened up an Instagram account for the group, then known pre-debut as, BOM (an acronym for Boys Of MNH), with their first three posts being the phrase "Better Together".[2] The trainees then continued to post on the account. On July 7, the group posted their first TikTok.[3]

On October 11, MNH Entertainment revealed all members of the group through their first vlog in Japan.[4]

On December 20, MNH Entertainment announced that the group will make their debut in early 2023.[5]

2023: Debut with 8TURNRISE, Uncharted Drift[]

On the midnight of January 2, 2023, a debut logo motion teaser was released, revealing the upcoming group's official name to be 8TURN.[6] At the same time, the group opened their official social media accounts.

On January 3, a release poster was released, announcing that their debut mini album, 8TURNRISE, would be released digitally on January 30, with their debut show being held the same day via Mnet and the M2 YouTube channel. The album will be released physically on February 6.[7]

On April 27, they announced that their fanclub name will be "TURNING", meaning that fans will always be with 8TURN on their journey and 8TURN's path will always be towards the fans.[1]

On May 26, 8TURN announced they will be having their first comeback with their second mini album Uncharted Drift on June 26.[8]

2024: Stunning, Japanese debut, Road to Kingdom 2[]

On December 14, 2023, 8TURN announced they will be release their third mini album Stunning on January 9, 2024.[9]

On February 14, 8TURN announced they will be making their Japanese debut with the digital single "Ru-Pum Pum Japanese ver." on March 6.[10]

On July 10, it was announced that 8TURN would be participating in Road to Kingdom : Ace of Ace.[11]
