Background[]
On March 6, several news outlets reported that the group is preparing for an April comeback. JYP Entertainment responded that the group completed filming their new music video, although the comeback date has not been confirmed as of yet.[1] On April 24, JYP Entertainment confirmed that Stray Kids will be making a comeback in early June.[2]
On April 27, they released a trailer for their third full-length album ★★★★★ (5-Star), set to be released on June 2.[3]

As of May 30, ★★★★★ (5-Star) surpassed 4.93 million stock preorders, breaking the record of greatest number of stock pre-orders achieved in K-pop history previously held by SEVENTEEN's FML.[5]
According to Hanteo Chart, ★★★★★ (5-Star) sold a total of 2,392,666 copies on its first day of sales, breaking their previous first-week sales record in a single day.[6] By the end of June 7, it sold 4,124,849 copies,[7] and a total of 4,617,499 copies in its first week.[8]
On June 9, ★★★★★ (5-Star) debuted at #40 on the United Kingdom's Official Album Charts while "S-Class" debuted at #100 on their Official Single Charts.[9]
On June 11, Billboard announced that ★★★★★ (5-Star) debuted at #1 on its Top 200 Albums chart, making Stray Kids the first Korean group to have three albums debut at #1 on the chart.[10] It remained in the top 10 on its second consecutive week,[11] in the top 12 on its third,[12] #24 on its fourth,[13] #34 on its fifth,[14] #13 on its sixth,[15] and #26 on its seventh, making it the first Stray Kids album to do spent seven consecutive weeks in the top 35.[16] It spent a total of 16 consecutive weeks on the chart, making it the first Stray Kids album to do so.[17] ★★★★★ (5-Star) also debuted on #1 on the Top Album Sales chart, the Top Current Album Sales chart, and the World Albums chart, and #3 on the Tastemaker Albums chart.[18]
On October 27, the Recording Industry Association of America awarded ★★★★★ (5-Star) a gold certification.[19]
On January 10, 2024, the American music data tracking firm Luminate announced ★★★★★ (5-Star) as the 5th best-selling album of 2023 in the United States.[20]
On January 30, 2024, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) revealed that "S-Class" reached 50 million streams, earning a gold certification.[21]
