1 to 3 (점선면) is the third mini album by Suho. It was released on May 31, 2024 with "1 to 3" and "Cheese" serving as the album's double title tracks.
"Cheese" was pre-released on May 20, 2024.
The physical album comes in four versions: !, ?, Tape and SMini.
Background[]
Through SM Entertainment's 3Q23 earning release, it was revealed that Suho will be releasing a mini album in early 2024.[1] On February 8, SM Entertaiment revealed that the album was pushed back to the second quarter of the year.[2] On May 3, SM Entertainment announced Suho's third mini album 1 to 3, to be released on May 31.[3]
Composition[]
"1 to 3" is a British rock genre song with disco-style funky guitar and bass riffs. The lyrics describe Suho's ambition to show a different side from others and create a new world as an artist.[4]
"Mayday" is described as a dreamy psychedelic alternative rock song with the string sound of a beautiful yet sad melody. The lyrics depict the journey to find one's soulmate who has set off towards the same dream in the middle of an infinite universe.[5]
"Zero Gravity" is an alternative rock genre song that aims to provide the excitement of being liberated from the Earth's gravity. The lyrics desrcribed the story of the moment when soulmates are miraculously reunited in the middle of the universe.[5]
"Wishful Thinking" is described as an alternative rock genre song with an impressive simple rhythm and cool vibe melody, expressing honest emotions in the face of a distorted reality. It contains the paradoxical desire to live calmly with hope.[6]
"Moonlight" is an indie rock genre song with a harmony of rhythmic acoustic guitar, cheerful electric guitar, and an easy and comfortable melody. It is a praise sang under the moonlight for the youth that can become the protagonist of their own life and achieve their dreams.[6]
"Alright Alright" is described as a song of the funky rock and surf rock genre. The lyrics contains the ambition to break away from universal standards and live according to Peter Pan.[6]
Commercial performance[]
1 to 3 reached #1 on the iTunes Top Albums charts in 26 regions, meanwhile the title track "1 to 3" topped the iTunes Top Songs charts in 23 regions.[7]
