SHINee (샤이니, diucapkan "'shine-ee'" Jepang: シ ャ イ ニ ー) adalah boyband beranggotakan lima orang yang dibentuk oleh SM Entertainment pada tahun 2008. Mereka memulai debut mereka pada tanggal 25 Mei di SBS Inkigayo dengan lagu promosi "Replay" . Grup ini dimulai sebagai grup beranggotakan lima orang dengan Onew, Jonghyun, Key, Minho dan Taemin.
Sejak debut mereka, SHINee telah merilis lima album full-length (dalam bahasa Korea; dengan satu adalah rilis double-album terpisah), lima mini-album, empat album live dan berbagai single. Mereka juga memenangkan banyak penghargaan, mengadakan empat tur konser dan membintangi reality show mereka sendiri. SHINee dianggap sebagai ikon fashion yang memulai "SHINee Trend" dan dikenal dengan tarian mereka yang sangat sinkron dan rumit.
Mereka melakukan debut Jepang mereka pada tanggal 22 Juni 2011 dengan merilis versi Jepang dari single mereka "Replay", diikuti oleh "Juliette" dan "Lucifer", dan mendapatkan gelar "Artis yang berhasil masuk 3 besar untuk 3 rilis berkelanjutan sejak debut "untuk kategori artis asing. Prestasi seperti itu tidak pernah diraih oleh siapa pun sejak chart ranking tunggal didirikan 45 tahun yang lalu, pada Januari 1968. Debut ini segera diikuti oleh album studio Jepang pertama mereka, The First pada tanggal 7 Desember 2011. Album Jepang kedua mereka, Boys Meet U, dirilis pada 26 Juni 2013 di bawah EMI Records Jepang setelah EMI Music Japan secara resmi diserap ke dalam Universal Music Japan dan telah diubah namanya menjadi "EMI Records Japan".
