Hyoyeon (효연) adalah penyanyi-penulis lagu, rapper, DJ dan komposer Korea Selatan di bawah agensi SM Entertainment. Dia adalah anggota dari girlband Girls Generation, sub-unit kedua Girls' Generation-Oh!GG. Dia juga anggota unit wanita GOT the beat.
Sebagai seorang DJ, dia menggunakan nama HYO.
Karir[]
Pra-debut[]
Pelatihan tari formal Hyoyeon dimulai di sekolah dasar; dia belajar hip hop, jazz, dan tari Latin di sekolah hip-hop di lingkungannya.[1]
Dia mengikuti audisi untuk SM Entertainment pada usia 11 melalui Sistem Casting SM 2000.[2] Pada tahun 2004, dia, bersama Siwon Super Junior, dikirim ke Beijing untuk belajar bahasa Cina.[citation needed]
Sebelum debut dengan Girls Generation, dia bekerja dengan Janet Jackson dan menjadi penari siluet BoA selama pertunjukan di Mnet Km Music Video Festival 2005.[3]
2007: Debut bersama Girls' Generation[]
Hyoyeon debut sebagai anggota Girls Generation pada tanggal 5 Agustus 2007 dengan single pertama grup "Into the New World".
2012: Dancing with the Stars[]
Pada April 2012, ia menjadi kontestan di acara kompetisi tari "Dancing with the Stars". Dia dan rekannya, Kim Hyun-suk, menyelesaikan pertunjukan di tempat ke-2. [4]
2016: Debut solo[]
Dia melakukan debut solonya pada 2 Desember 2016 dengan single digital "Mystery".
2018: DJ debut, Oh!GG[]
Pada tanggal 4 April 2018, SM Entertainment mengumumkan bahwa Hyoyeon akan memulai debutnya sebagai DJ dengan menggunakan nama panggung HYO.[5] Single pertamanya sebagai DJ, "Sober", dirilis pada 18 April.
Pada tanggal 5 September, ia memulai debutnya sebagai anggota sub-unit kedua Girls' Generation Girls' Generation-Oh!GG dengan merilis single mereka "Lil' Touch".

Pada Desember 2012, Hyoyeon mulai berkencan dengan pengusaha Kim Jun-hyung. Pasangan itu putus pada 2014 setelah berkencan selama hampir dua tahun.[6]
