NOTE: All the points mentioned in this post are all strictly my opinions. You are not obliged to agree to them, though I would be happy if you do agree with them. Let's just get on with it, I don't have a good opening sentence.
Line distribution has always been a touchy topic in K-pop fandoms, and I can understand why. Fans of members who get lesser lines in general would have understandable frustration when they don't get to hear their biases voices more. But is line distribution all it is made out to be? Is it really that important?
Short answer: No.
Long answer: It depends. As a lot of people know, line distributions are decided by who would fit the style of the song the most, which is exactly how it should be.
Here comes my first point:- I don't mind unequal line distributions as long as the group themselves are dividing it. When a company is dividing a group's lines, there is a high chance that there would be favouritism and giving lines to the most popular member to satisfy the fans. I am not saying that all companies do it, but it does happen. More often than anyone would like to admit. I will not say which groups I am referring to, since I don't want to start any sort of war. Anyways, when the members themselves make the song and divide the lines, they have a much higher chance of knowing what would be the best for their song. They know much better than the companies they are under.
A group's discography is tied to line distribution. Lots of groups have their own set style to them, and it affects the group's line distribution. The member who matches the group's overall concept would generally get the most lines. The main reason an average person stans a group is mainly because they like the group's discography. Some of these stans also want equal line distributions. So let's make a hypothetical situation where a member who's generally given less lines do get more lines. There would definitely be at least a slight change in the style of the song. The stans may be happy about the better line distribution, but they have a lesser chance of liking the song in itself.
This doesn't mean that the member who has less lines should never get lines. Of course they should. Many groups have diverse discographies which show the true potential of every member, at least at more than one song. The members who get the most lines in general are the ones whose voices match the group's general sound. This is why I think it's a bit irrational to complain about line distributions in situations like this.
Hating a member because they get more lines is NOT cool, and it basically solves nothing. This is probably the stupidest thing people with line distribution obsession do. Do they think that the main vocalist just punches the rapper and says, "F you, this is my song and you are not getting ANY lines."? Because if someone genuinely thinks that, I only have one thing to tell them:-
Hating these members is stupid, and that's that.
Then comes the next point:- There will always be a last. I have seen stans go "Omg x member is last I feel so bad for them *cringey crying emojis*" when the member who got the second last amount of lines are only a few seconds ahead of the last member. There will never be a fully equal line distribution, and there will always be a last.
I hate it when fans overreact and lowkey embarrass the idols. Again, not pointing out the idol in case of starting a war, but some people send protest trucks to the company demanding for more lines to be given, which gives me intense second hand embarrassment. These idols are adults, and they are NOT immature most of the time. This solves nothing and all these people are doing are embarrassing these idols. I also hate it when people overanalyse an idol's mannerism to show that they are "upset" at the other members for the unfair line distribution. Stop babying them ffs.
My next point is that even though a member might not have a lot of lines in a song, they would have that one iconic line which gets stuck in everybody's head. For example, V had the second least amount of lines in Jump, but his verse is one of the most iconic lines by BTS. Seriously, his verse became his own theme song, that's how iconic it was. Despite having limited lines, his verse is probably as popular as the whole song in general. It's a matter of power over quantity, which is something a lot of stans keep forgetting.
TL;DR: Fighting over line distribution is pointless and dumb to me. Enjoy the song, isn't that what everything is all about?
ok so i couldn't stay up for it last night but i watched it when i woke up this morning. i liked the trailer a lot and i was expecting something really really good like i actually thought this was gonna be like soty for me or something.
so i started listening to it when i woke up... i'm just really confused. why didn't the beat match with the lyrics at all? i mean sure the instrumental is super catchy but it just doesn't match like at all. it was super weird and i didn't like it that much. i really hope it grows on me because i'd really love to love this song but for now i don't really like it that much... sorry :(
if you wanna listen to it than here:
i feel bad for writing this kinda since i really just did not like this and i was looking forward to it, no hate to nct at all but this just wasn't it for me.
PS: Just a joke I love Sangyeon uwu
KIM DAHYUN >:(
Juyeon.. Juyeon is climbing the bias list way to fast. and this just furthered that. WE GOT MULLET JUYEON AGAIN. JANIAJWHAHUEH. firstly i hope that this proves to every The Boyz anti that Tbz outdanced Changmin and Juyeon r some of the best dancers in kpop rn and it shows. Stream it, stream Juyeon Aotm and stan Tbz
And being fully honest i really dont like it. my main issue is with the instrumental. WHY. why did they have to pick that inst. it doesnt fit with the verses whatsoever and ig it barely fits with the chorus. the bridge was definitely the best part its okay. even with the inst the flow of the verses is so weird idk how to describe it. its just very idk of putting ig its like the words shouldnt go like that but they do for some reason. i was expecting to much tbh but i bet the bsides r good its nct they always have good bsides
Stream Sticker tho i still love Nct

I used to play the piano until 2 years ago but then I got a burnout and dropped it completely, because of school and lots of other things made me completely unmotivated to do it again. I also told myself that I won't continue it again after I dropped it, because I was really frustrated and sad because of it, and irrationally heated up. But I am slowly seeing that it is one of the limited things I have passion for (besides writing), so it's impossible for me to drop it. I somehow managed to take a break for 2 years, now I am slowly getting inspiration to start it again. So can anyone recommend me any K-pop songs that's good to play on the piano? Idc about the difficulty level, I want to challenge myself a bit.
